Yes. We recommend verifying that mobile communications are available in the country of your destination, and your phone will function there.
Abroad, in most cases, you can use the same phones as in the LMT network, as long as your phone can function in the network technology indicated in the Tariff Calculator next to the operator. For example, in the US and Japan, you will need a phone that functions on a 4G/5G network and supports VoLTE technology to make calls.
Before you go abroad, check your phone’s network selection options and make sure you have selected the automatic option – then in most cases the phone will connect to an LMT-friendly network marked with a smiley symbol :-).
If you choose the network manually, you may have to do that several times.
Make sure your phone supports VoLTE technology, VoLTE is activated on your phone and you have a postpaid tariff plan. This is required to make calls using VoLTE.
First turn your phone off and on (or turn airplane mode on or off) – in most cases this simple method solves the problem. If that does not help, check in the phone settings that the automatic network selection mode is selected.
